Inheritance law in Israel

Our law firm provides a wide range of services in relation to inheritance and wills. On the one hand, a properly drawn up will, helps prevent disputes and conflicts between heirs, and also helps reduce the amount of tax that may be imposed on inherited property. On the other hand, if there is a conflict over inheritance, ENR will help you to defend your rights to the fullest extent, even if the inheritance has already been divided – including inheritances divided years ago, especially if at the time of division you or your parents were living abroad.

A short list of our services in this area include:

  • Consulting on and preparation of wills, including joint wills of spouses.
  • Notarial wills.
  • Orders to refuse artificial life extension – in case of incurable diseases, coma, etc. – according to the “Law on terminally ill people”.
  • Consulting on issues of inheritance registration, the procedure for entering into an inheritance, methods and terms of inheritance acceptance, on issues of inheritance of certain types of property.
  • Submission of requests for recognition of wills and inheritance by will and by law, including representation in courts.
  • Submission of claims for the division of inheritance by law and entry into inheritance rights in the absence of a will, including representation in courts.
  • Submission of objections for the above requirements.
  • Disputes between heirs, including representation in courts.
  • Opening, verification and revision of old inheritance cases (including court decisions given many years ago), in cases of concealment of heirs (who were not informed about the inheritance process).
  • Appeal of court decisions (review of the case by the court of second instance).
  • Inheritance management.
